This is going to be one of my weakest areas (so, I guess it will be one in which I learn the most!?!) because I'm an utilitarian reader … have never been one to read just to read. I've certainly never read Ulysses.
However, I must say I was intrigued by the Devotional's description of the book and was thinking I should probably read it until I read the sample of Molly's thoughts. 24,000 words in only eight sentences! Forget the alphabet, I need pictures! Is there a classic comics version?
One thing did grab my attention though … retelling Homer's Odyssey in the context of a single day. Was this the original 24 and Bloom the original Bauer?
