Well, again old Plato was on the right track, he just didn't understand his ultimate destination was God … the ultimate Form. This whole idea works well with the Correspondence Theory of Truth which I adhere to.
While I certainly do not believe we are "blank slates" when we're born (I think there's a lot of info locked away, not only in our genes and cells, but also because we're created in God's image), I find Plato's thought that we don't learn anything, we merely remember it somewhat off kilter. If what he says is true, then IQ is basically a by product of memory!?!
