Well, here's an author I not only haven't read … I've never even heard of the dude.

Magic realism seems to be a strange concept with a really contradictory name.

Would love to hear from others who have read some of his works. Maria, are you familiar with this author?

I do know Gabrel Garcia Marquez, and he's awesome! You should read the english translation of One Hundred Years of Solitud. It is crazy good stuff.

I think my second favorite is Chronicle of a foretold Death (I think that's the translation). The book is backwards, so you know how it ends but even though you know what's gonna happen you're still hooked on the book.
